Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese Medicine that originated in China 5,000 years ago. It is well known for pain relief but is also effective in treating a variety of problems.
Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing. It is based on the belief that we all have a vital energy, called “qi”, which circulates around the body. An imbalance in the flow of this “qi” leads to disharmony e.g. pain. Acupuncture aims to restore the smooth flow of “qi” around the body.
The treatment itself is tailored to each individual and is a relaxing and calming experience involving the insertion of fine needles into specific acupuncture points in the body to alleviate your symptoms.
Acupuncture has been endorsed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) which has declared it an effective treatment for the following conditions; Arthritis, Back and neck pain, nerve pain, muscle and joint pain, carpel tunnel, headaches, insomnia, chronic fatigue, sinusitis, menstrual and menopausal symptoms
